Sion is an ancient city in theRoman province ofAsia Prima, inAsia Minor.
Sion was a bishopric,suffragan of the Metropolitan of the provincial capitalEphesus. It nominally restored as a Roman Catholictitular bishopric and promoted totitular archbishopric in 1950.
