Silvia Collas (néeAleksieva; born 4 May 1974) is a Bulgarian-Frenchchess player who holds the titles ofInternational Master (IM) andWoman Grandmaster (WGM).

Career

She won theEuropean Girls U20 Championship in 1994.[1] Collas played for Bulgaria in theWomen's Chess Olympiads of 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002. In December 2002, shetransferred to theFrench Chess Federation and since then represents France.[2] In 2003, she won theMediterranean women's championship inBeirut.[3] In 2007 Collas became theFrench women's champion after winning arapidplay playoff withSophie Milliet.[4] She has played for the French team at the Women's Chess Olympiad since 2004. In the2012 event Collas won an individual silver medal thanks to herrating performance of 2469 on board 4.[5]
