Sietse Rindert Fritsma (born 31 March 1972) is a Dutchpolitician and formercivil servant. As a member of theParty for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid) he has been a member of theHouse of Representatives since 1 September 2020.[1] He previously served in the House between 30 November 2006 and 31 October 2019.[2] He focuses on matters ofsocial affairs,employment,political asylum andimmigration. From March 2010 till January 2011 he was also a member and PVVfraction leader of themunicipal council ofThe Hague.
He previously worked for the DutchImmigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
Fritsma studiedhuman geography at theUniversity of Groningen. He obtained a master's degree inspatial science, specializing inregional geography ofdeveloping countries. Around 1990 he lived for a year in anIsraelikibbutz.
