Shuleichthys brachypteryx is an extinct species ofray-finned fish which existed inChina during theCretaceous period. Fossils of the fish were found in theAptianXiagou Formation of theChangma Basin.[1] It is the only species in the genusShuleichthys and cannot be placed in anyorder of theOsteoglossomorpha without making that orderparaphyletic.[1]
