Shripad Krishna Belvalkar (1881 inNarsobawadi – 8 January 1967 inPoona) was an Indian scholar ofSanskrit, educator, historian, and writer, best known for his translations and editions of theUttararamacarita, theKavyadarsha, and theBhagavad Gita, and his research onSanskrit grammar,Indian philosophy andIndology. He served as honorary secretary of theBhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, frequently collaborated withRamachandra Dattatrya Ranade, and his works have since become a part of theHarvard Oriental Series.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
