Showt County (Persian:شهرستان شوط)[a] is inWest Azerbaijan province,Iran. Its capital is the city ofShowt.[3]
In 2007,Showt District was separated fromMaku County in the establishment of Showt County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, withShowt as its capital.[3] The village ofYowla Galdi was converted to a city in 2018.[5]
At the time of the 2011 census, the county's population was 52,519 people in 13,572 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 55,682 in 15,756 households.[4]
