Shivathmika Rajashekar is an Indian actress who appears primarily inTelugu andTamil films.[1] She is a recipient of theSIIMA Award for Best Female Debut forDorasaani.
Shivathmika Rajashekar was born on 22 April 2000, inHyderabad, India.[2] She is the younger daughter of actorsRajasekhar andJeevitha.[3] She began working in cinema after finishing her 12th grade studies.[4]
Shivathmika debuted withDorasaani alongsideAnand Deverakonda. The film opened to an underwhelming response from the critics.[5][6] However, her performance received a favourable reception, and she received the Sakshi Excellence Award for Best Debutant,[7] theSantosham Film Awards for Best Debut Actress, and theSIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.[8] Her second release,Anandham Vilayadum Veedu, marking her Tamil debut oppositeGautham Karthik, received a mixed response.[9][10]
She then starred in the Tamil filmNitham Oru Vaanam, playing one of the three female leads oppositeAshok Selvan. The film had a positive critical response.[11][12] Her subsequent releases werePanchathantram andRanga Maarthaanda.[13]
