Shirin Taylor

Shirin Taylor (born 1951 asShirin C. Ghadiali[1]) is an English actress, best known for playingJackie Ingram in thetelevisionsoap operaCoronation Street from 1990 to 1992 as well as Tina, girlfriend toRobert Lindsay's character in comedy dramaGive Us a Break, and Rosa in the sitcomI Woke Up One Morning.

Early life

Born to an Indian father and English mother, Taylor initially trained as a dancer at theRoyal Ballet School before studying drama atBristol Old Vic Theatre School.[2]

On stage, Taylor made herWest End debut inEducating Rita, first as understudy to starJulie Walters and then taking over the role of the leading lady.[3][4][5]
