Shelby Simmons (born February 6, 2002) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Ava King inDisney Channel'sBunk'd and Hillari Kimble in theDisney+ filmStargirl.
Simmons was born inRichmond,Virginia, on February 6, 2002. She began acting in school plays at a young age, including a middle-school production ofShrek, in which she playedPrincess Fiona.[1]
Simmons was cast as Sydney Quinn inNetflix'sThe Prince of Peoria in April 2018. Her character is described as a straight-A with a wild side.[2]
Simmons was cast as Ava King inBunk'd in March 2019 as a main character in seasons 4 and 5, with guest appearances in later seasons.[3] She reprised the role inRaven’s Home.[4]
She joined the cast ofStargirl in February 2020. She plays Hillari Kimble.[1]
Simmons was cast as Sophia inOne Stupid Thing in December 2023, based on the book of the same name.[5]
