Sheikh Liaquat Hussain (1929 – 23 September 2009) was a Pakistanipolitician who was aMember of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 1997 to 1999.[1]

Early life and career

Hussain was born in 1929.[citation needed]. He married Ghousia Mahmooda Sultana from whom he had two sons named Imran Liaquat andAamir Liaquat Hussain, who was a Pakistanitelevision host andpolitician.[2][3][4][5]

He was elected to theNational Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-195 (Karachi East-IV) as a candidate ofHaq Parast Group (MQM) in1997 Pakistani general election.[6]

Death

Hussain died on 23 September 2009 inKarachi at the age of 80.[7]
