Shawn M. Bouwens (born May 25, 1968) is a formerAmerican footballguard in theNational Football League (NFL). He played professionally for theDetroit Lions andJacksonville Jaguars.
Bouwens was born inLincoln, Nebraska[2] and graduated fromLincoln Northeast High School.[3] Bowens attendedNebraska Wesleyan University and was drafted by theNew England Patriots in the ninth round (226th overall) of the1990 NFL draft.[4][5]
Bouwens played in the National Football League for five seasons, playing for the Detroit Lions from 1991 to 1994 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995.[6]
