Sharurah (Arabic:شرورة) is a governorate inNajran Province, southern Saudi Arabia, approximately 200 miles east of the town ofNajran.
It is located in theEmpty Quarter desert near theYemeni border, and functions mainly as aborder town. Sharurah had a population of 85,977 at the 2010 Census.[1] It served bySharurah Domestic Airport, a small airport with services toRiyadh,Abha andJeddah.
