Shaila Rani Rawat (7 January 1956 – 9 July 2024) was an Indian politician fromUttarakhand who was a member ofBharatiya Janata Party. She served as member of theVidhan Sabha representingKedarnath. She was elected fromKedarnath in 2012 state elections inUttarakhand.[2][3] She was a member of theIndian National Congress until she joinedBharatiya Janata Party in the aftermath ofUttarakhand political crisis.[4][5]
Shaila Rani Rawat was elected as the member ofUttarakhand Legislative Assembly fromBhartiya Janata Party in2022 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election and defeated Manoj Rawat ofIndian National Congress by 9329 votes.[6][7][8]
Shaila died from spinal injury complications inDehradun,Uttarakhand, on 9 July 2024, at the age of 68.[9]
