Serge Korber (1 February 1936 – 23 January 2022) was a French film director and screenwriter.[1][2] He directed more than 40 films between 1962 and 2007. Successful as the director of comedies starringLouis de Funès inL'homme orchestre andPerched on a Tree (co-starringGeraldine Chaplin), he earned acclaim with his tragical dramaHearth Fires starringAnnie Girardot andClaude Jade as mother and daughter. This film was official French film at the1972 Cannes Film Festival. He died inBrens on 23 January 2022, at the age of 85.[3]
