Sep'o County is akun, or county, inKangwŏn province,North Korea. It was created as a separate entity following thedivision of Korea.
The county is primarily mountainous, and is traversed by theMasingryŏng andKwangju ranges. There are numerous mountains outside of these two ranges as well. The chief streams include theNamdaech'ŏn,Yongjich'ŏn, andKomitanch'ŏn (고미탄천). 75% of the county's area is occupied by forestland.
Sep'o county is divided into 1ŭp (town), 1rodongjagu (workers' district) and 24ri (villages):

Sep'o is host to deposits ofmolybdenum,silver,zinc, andfluorite. Agriculture also contributes to the local economy; Sepo is particularly known for itsradishes. In addition,livestock raising andorcharding play a role, and there is some small-scalemanufacturing as well.
Sep'o county is served by several stations on theKangwŏn andCh'ŏngnyŏn Ich'ŏn lines of theKorean State Railway, includingSep'o Ch'ŏngnyŏn station in Sep'o-ŭp, which is thejunction point of the two lines.
