Seoul Samsung Thunders (Korean:서울 삼성 썬더스) is a professionalbasketball team, competing in theKorean Basketball League. Ever since the club was founded in 1978, they have been associated withSamsung Electronics. Initially based inSuwon, they relocated toSeoul in 2001, and had played their home games atJamsil Arena ever since.

History

The Thunders were founded in 1978, and joined the professionalKorean Basketball League (KBL) in 1997.[1] They won two championships in 2001 and 2006 with players such asMoon Kyung-eun,Lee Sang-min andSeo Jang-hoon.[1]
