Sentrycs is an Israeli Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) technology company founded in 2017. The company develops and provides cyber-based C-UAS solutions, powered by its proprietary “Cyber over RF” (CoRF) technology, to detect, track, andmitigate unauthorized drones.  Sentrycs operates in the defense, homeland security, and critical infrastructure sectors. Its headquarters are located in Israel, with operations extending across the globe.[1][2][3][4]

Overview

[edit]

Sentrycs was founded in 2017 in Israel to address emerging drone threats. It delivers drone detection, tracking, identification, and mitigation within defense, homeland security, and critical infrastructure environments, such as airports, stadiums, refineries, power plants, borders, maritime ports, and more. The company develops stationary, portable, and vehicle-mounted counter-drone systems that identify and neutralizeunmanned aerial systems (UAS) through protocol-based detection and interception. Unlike traditional detection systems such as radars, electro-optical, acoustic systems, or RF finders, its technology is built around “Cyber over RF” (CoRF), also referred to as Protocol Analytics, which passively provides real-timesituational awareness, including friends vs. foe differentiation, and no false alarms. Additionally, this technology, which reads the data layer of the drone communication, surfaces the drone pilot’s location. If neutralizing the drone is required, the solution delivers a safe drone cyber takeover: it first cuts the drone’s link to its operator, assumes control, and lands it safely, without causing collateral damage or disrupting authorized drones, communications, or navigation systems.[3][4][5] The system enables authorities to locate drone operators and maintain accurate situational awareness without disrupting authorized airspace activities.[1][6]

Since its establishment, Sentrycs has developed complementary capabilities that enhance operational performance by leveraging its CoRF technology. These include Sentrycs Horizon, an AI-driven, non-library-based layer that analyzesradio-frequency environments in real time to detect and identify even previously unknown drone communication data links.[1][7]

Between 2023 and 2025, Sentrycs expanded its integrations and partnerships with major defense and aerospace companies. In 2025, Sentrycs announced its collaboration withRafael Advanced Defense Systems, integrating its Cyber over RF technology into Rafael’s Drone Dome counter-UAS platform, a system already deployed by several militaries worldwide.[8][9][10]

In the same period, Sentrycs formed technological alliances with XTEND to enhance combined aerial and ground drone defense capabilities.[2][4][11] It later partnered with Kibo to deliver integrated security solutions addressing both airborne and terrestrial threats. Additional collaborations were established with Leonardo,Elbit Systems,Hensoldt, Mahindra Group, and High Lander to extend the operational deployment of CoRF-based counter-drone solutions globally.[12][13][14][15]

In 2024, reports indicated the adoption of Sentrycs’ technology in European military installations and by law enforcement agencies in the United Kingdom for drone monitoring and neutralization operations.[14][15] By 2025, the company had secured different contracts with defense and homeland security authorities and introduced new software versions that focus on enhancing system automation and integration flexibility.[5][16] Sentrycs has also been reported as awarding African national security contracts for its C-UAS solutions in 2025.[17]

Sentrycs’ approach to counter-UAS differs from traditional radio-frequency jamming and radar-based detection and interception systems. The company’s technology identifies and takes control of specific drones using communication protocols, allowing for targeted neutralization without broader electromagnetic disruption. This feature has positioned the company within a niche segment of the counter-drone industry, focusing on precision and compliance with civilian and defense safety standards.[1][18][10][12]

Sentrycs has been recognized through several industry awards and analyst reports. In 2025, it received the Army Technology Innovation Award for advancements in counter-UAS technology and a Globee Award for innovation in the defense technology sector. Independent analyst firm Frost & Sullivan named Sentrycs a global leader in UAS communication disruption and listed it as an innovation leader in the Israeli C-UAS market in its 2024 Radar report.

As of 2025, Sentrycs continues to develop and deploy cyber-based counter-drone systems with defense and security partners worldwide, combining CoRF and AI-driven analytics for drone identification and interception across complex operational environments.[1][2][5][19]
