InGallo-Roman religion,Segomo ("victor, mighty one") was a war god worshipped inGaul. InRoman times he was equated withMars andHercules. He may be related toCocidius, a similar god worshipped in Britain.[1] The name of the legendaryHigh King of IrelandNia Segamain, which translates as "sister's son or champion of Segamon",[2] may be related.
