Thesecretary of foreign affairs (Spanish:Secretario de Relaciones Exteriores) is theforeign secretary ofMexico, responsible for implementing the country's foreign policy. The secretary is appointed by thepresident of Mexico to head theSecretariat of Foreign Affairs (Spanish:Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores) and is a member of thefederal executive cabinet. The secretary is commonly referred to in Spanish asCanciller ("Chancellor").
The incumbent secretary, since 1 October 2024, isJuan Ramón de la Fuente.[1][2]
