Sebastian Steineke (born 19 June 1973) is a German lawyer and politician of theChristian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of theBundestag from the state ofBrandenburg from 2013 to 2021.
Steineke first became a member of the Bundestag after the2013 German federal election, representing thePrignitz – Ostprignitz-Ruppin – Havelland I district.[1] In parliament, he served on the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection.[2]
For the2021 national elections, Steineke endorsedMarkus Söder as the Christian Democrats' joint candidate to succeedChancellorAngela Merkel.[3]
