Sebastián Lucas Tagliabúe (born 22 February 1985) is a professionalfootballer who plays as a forward. Born in Argentina, he plays for theUnited Arab Emirates national team.

Club career

Tagliabúe started his association football career at Primera C sideClub Atletico Colegiales from 2003 to 2008. He helped win the Primera C (fourth tier) championship with Colegiales. He was signed abroad byEverton from thePrimera División de Chile. Tagliabúe made his debut in a 5–5 draw againstDeportes La Serena where he scored ahat-trick. After a spell at Everton where he scored six goals in 13 matches, Tagliabúe moved toDeportes La Serena scoring 13 times in 27 matches. After one year, in 2010, he moved toOnce Caldas where he was able to participate in the2010 Copa Libertadores.

Saudi Arabia

After his spell in Colombia, Tagliabúe moved overseas to Saudi Arabia after being approached byAl-Ittifaq. Tagliabúe scored 21 goals in 44 matches from 2010 to 2012.Al-Shabab signed him in 2012. Tagliabúe scored 19 goals in 25 matches in the2012–13 Saudi Premier League season.

United Arab Emirates

Tagliabúe was offered to joinUAE Pro-League sideAl-Wahda and in June 2013 agreed to a five-year contract. He scored a hat-trick on 14 December 2017 in aUAE League Cup match againstAl-Wasl. After spending seven years at the club winning at least four domestic titles, Tagliabúe joinedAl-Nasr on a two-year contract.[3] And on 13 June 2022, Tagliabúe joined his former clubAl-Wahda.

International career

In 2020, Tagliabúe wasnaturalized as anEmirati citizen making him one of the first three non Emirati-born players to do so alongsideFábio Virginio de Lima andCaio Canedo Corrêa both from Brazil.[4] Following the naturalization, he was called up to theUnited Arab Emirates team byJorge Luis Pinto in October 2020 where he made his debut againstUzbekistan and scored his first international goal in a 2–1 defeat.
