Scylla orScyllae[1] was a town ofancient Thrace, on theEuxine, where the long wall, erected by the emperorAnastasius I Dicorus for the defence ofConstantinople, terminated. This wall commenced atSelymbria, on thePropontis, and was carried across the narrow part of Thrace, at the distance of about 40 miles (64 km) from Constantinople, its length being 2 days' journey.[2]
Its site is located nearPodima, Yalıköy inEuropean Turkey.[3][4]
