Scarus zufar, also known asDhofar parrotfish, is a species of marineray-finned fish, aparrotfish, in thefamilyScaridae. It is found along the central to southern coastal waters ofOman.[1] S. zufar was first identified in 1995.
This species of parrot fish is blue-green in colour and grows to be 52 centimetres.[1]
It has been found exclusively in the waters of the central and southern coasts ofOman.[1]
Scarus zufar is found in rock andCoral reefs.[1]
S. zufar is described as "fast-growing" and can live up to 9 years.[1]
There are no known threats to theScarus zufar.[1]
