Program to support young racing drivers through their careers
TheSauber Academy , formerly known as theSauber Junior Team , is adriver development programme bySauber Motorsport to support drivers fromkarts through thefeeder series ladder to promote them to theirFormula One team.[ 1]
In November 2018, Sauber entered a partnership with Czech teamCharouz Racing System to form the Sauber Junior Team, followed by the creation of a karting team in March 2019.[ 2] [ 3] [ 4] [ 5]
In December 2024, Sauber Academy announced that their full complement of drivers (Théo Pourchaire, Carrie Schreiner and Zane Maloney) would graduate at the end of the year, with Schreiner becoming a Team Brand Ambassador.[ 6]
