The Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (UPGB) is an IndianRegional rural bank(RRB) inUttar Pradesh established on 1 May 2025.[2][3] The bank[4] was formed by the amalgamation of Aryavart Bank, Baroda UP Bank and Prathama UP Gramin Bank under The "One State, One RRB"[5] policy of government. It currently has 4330 branches in rural areas of all 75Districts ofUttar Pradesh. It also have one branch inHaridwar District ofUttarakhand.[6]
It functions under Regional Rural Banks' Act 1976 and is sponsored byBank of Baroda.
Allahabad UP Gramin Bank andGramin Bank of Aryavart merged with name Aryavart Bank e.r.f 01.04.2019 and is sponsored by Bank of India. The bank had 1365 branches and 22 regional offices[7] at the time of amalgamation in rural areas ofUttar Pradesh, aroundLucknow. The bank was sponsored by theBank of India.
Before the merger, the Aryavart Bank head office was already located from A-2/46, Vijay Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow to 2nd and 3rd floor, NBCC Commercial Complex, Vardan Khand, Gomti Nagar Extension,Lucknow,Uttar Pradesh, 226010. The new building for this head office was inaugurated on April 1, 2025, shortly before the official merger date.
The RRBs were established in India under RRB Act 1976 [23(1)]. As per Govt of India notification no 3837 dated 26.11.2019,Baroda Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank,Purvanchal Bank andKashi Gomti Samyut Gramin Bank has been amalgamated in toBaroda U.P. Bank under sponsorship ofBank of Baroda
Prathama Bank andSarva UP Gramin Bank merged with namePrathama UP Gramin Bank.The bank had 960 branches around 19 districts ofUttar Pradesh; it also had one branch inHaridwar District ofUttarakhand.The bank was sponsored by thePunjab National Bank.
Prathama Bank (lit. First Bank) was established in 1975 bySyndicate Bank. It was the first RRB in India.

The Regional Rural Bank logo selection process involved a public poll conducted byNABARD in June 2025 to choose a new, common logo for the amalgamatedRegional Rural Banks in India, the initiative aimed at creating a unified brand identity for rural banking after the amalgamation of several RRBs. the poll allowed participants to vote on six logo concepts and nine design variations. The initiative was calledOneRRBOneLogo reflecting the vision of having a single identity for the RRBs.
