State Stadium (Stadium Negeri in Malay) is amulti-purpose stadium inKuching,Sarawak,Malaysia.[1] It is currently used mostly forfootball matches. The stadium holds 26,000 people.[2] The stadium hosted theSukma Games in 1990, which Sarawak won. State Stadium is located in an area of 5 hectares inPetra Jaya. It was officially opened on 27 August 1983. The stadium is adjacent to the newSarawak Stadium.
