Sara Pennypacker is an American author ofchildren's books. Her books, some of which have featured on theNew York Times bestselling list, includeLeeva At Last,Pax,Summer of the Gypsy Moths, theClementine series, theWaylon series, and theStuart books.

Pennypacker has written many children's books, includingLeeva At Last,Pax,Pax Journey Home,Here in the Real World,Summer of the Gypsy Moths, theClementine series, theWaylon series, and theStuart books.[1][better source needed]

Critical reception

Pax was one of ten books making the longlist for theNational Book Award for Young People's Literature in 2016.[2] It was onThe New York Times bestseller list for 54 weeks,[3] reaching #1.[4]

She received aChristopher Award forClementine's Letter and theGolden Kite Award forPierre In Love.[5] She receivedBoston Globe andHorn Book awards forClementine.[1]
