Saori Anou (安納サオリ Anō Saori is aJapanese professional wrestler signed toWorld Wonder Ring Stardom , where she is the assumed defacto leader ofCosmic Angels , alongsideNatsupoi .
Anou is best known for her tenure with the Japanesepromotion Actwres girl'Z and her freelance appearances in promotions such asOz Academy andIce Ribbon .[ 4] ICE Cross Infinity Champion inIce Ribbon , the inauguralAWG Single Champion inActwres girl'Z , and former two-timeWonder of Stardom Champion inWorld Wonder Ring Stardom .[ 5]
Professional wrestling career [ edit ] [ edit ] Saori Anou debuted as a professional wrestler at the inaugural Actwres girl'Z show,AgZ Prologue on May 31, 2015. Until her departure from the company in December 2019, Anou was one of AgZ's biggest and most important stars for the promotion. On November 15, 2018, Anou defeatedSaki in the finals of the AgZ Title Tournament and became the promotion's first champion.[ 6] Act Yasukawa 's return match.[ 7]

At ahouse show hosted byPure-J on October 9, 2017, she teamed up withNatsumi Maki and unsuccessfully challengedCommand Bolshoi andLeon for theDaily Sports Tag Team Championship .[ 8] W-1 WRESTLE-1 Tour 2018 Autumn Bout , an event promoted byWrestle-1 on November 1, 2018, Anou teamed up withNatsumi Maki in a losing effort toHana Kimura andAsuka .[ 9] Seadlinnng Shin-Kiba 11th NIGHT'Miyuki Takase andHimeka Arita in a losing effort toHiroyo Matsumoto ,Makoto andYoshiko .[ 10] Zero1 Super Fireworks , an event promoted byPro Wrestling Zero1 on February 24, 2020, she teamed up withMayumi Ozaki againstAja Kong andHiroyo Matsumoto who was theBlast Queen Champion in aSuper Plasma Blast Deathmatch which was also for the title but failed to capture it.[ 11]
World Wonder Ring Stardom [ edit ] Anou stepped intoWorld Wonder Ring Stardom for a brief period of time. She is known for competing in various events such as theGoddesses of Stardom Tag League , making her first appearance at the2016 edition where she teamed up with Hiromi Mimura, placing themselves in the Block A and scoring one point after facing the teams of Twisted Sisters (Holidead andThunder Rosa ),Chelsea Green andSantana Garrett , andKairi Hojo andYoko Bito .[ 12] Stardom Year-End Climax 2016 on December 22, she teamed up with Kaori Yoneyama in a losing effort toNatsuko Tora andJungle Kyona andOedo Tai (Hana Kimura andKris Wolf ) as a result of athree-way tag team match .[ 13]
[ edit ] Anou returned to Stardom in April 2023, agreeing to tag withKairi andNatsupoi to take onProminence atStardom All Star Grand Queendom for the Artist of Stardom Championship. At theStardom Cinderella Tournament 2023 before that, Anou joinedCosmic Angels afterMina Shirakawa andWaka Tsukiyama left the group.[ 14] All Star Grand Queendom , Anou alongside Kairi and Natsupoi defeated Prominence (Hiragi Kurumi ,Risa Sera andSuzu Suzuki ) to win theArtist of Stardom Championship .[ 15] Flashing Champions , REStart lost their title to theBaribari Bombers (Giulia ,Mai Sakurai andThekla ), ending their reign at 34 days.[ 16] Stardom x Stardom: Osaka Summer Team on August 13, Anou and Natsupoi won theGoddesses of Stardom Championship by defeatingRose Gold .[ 17] Dream Queendom 2023 , Anou won theWonder of Stardom Championship by defeatingMirai .[ 18]
[ edit ] Anou has made sporadic appearances forDDT Pro Wrestling during the years. Her first match took place atDDT YAROZ Part 4 on February 14, 2017, where she defeatedTam Nakano .[ 19] DDT Live! Maji Manji #11 on July 10, 2018, she competed in an7-person survival battle royal for theIronman Heavymetalweight Championship also involvingKonosuke Takeshita ,Kudo ,Toru Owashi ,Masahiro Takanashi ,Nobuhiro Shimatani andSaki Akai .[ 20]
She also competed in signature events of the promotion such asDDT Peter Pan . On the first night ofWrestle Peter Pan 2020 on June 6, she teamed up withHiroshi Yamato to defeatHaruka Kato andKeisuke Ishii .[ 21]

AtNew Ice Ribbon #974 on August 3, 2019, she teamed up withMaika Ozaki and unsuccessfully challengedGiulia andTequila Saya for theInternational Ribbon Tag Team Championship .[ 22] New Ice Ribbon #1090 on December 31, 2020, Anou unsuccessfully challengedSuzu Suzuki for theICE Cross Infinity Championship .[ 23] Yuki Mashiro to win the vacantICE Cross Infinity Championship .[ 5] New Ice Ribbon #1267 on March 19, 2023, Anou dropped the title toSatsuki Totoro , ending her reign at 266 days.[ 24]

She made her first appearance in the promotion atOZ Academy Plum Hanasaku 2017 on August 20 where she teamed up with Command Bolshoi andAoi Kizuki in a losing effort toKaori Yoneyama ,Rina Yamashita andSakura Hirota as a result of asix-woman tag team match .[ 25] OZ Academy You Might Think on October 7, 2018, she teamed up with stablemates Mayumi Ozaki andYumi Ohka in a losing effort to Borderless (Rina Yamashita andYoshiko ) andHikaru Shida .[ 26] Something is Happening Tonight on August 25, 2019, Anou teamed up withMaya Yukihi and defeated Beast Friend (Hiroyo Matsumoto and Kaori Yoneyama) to win theOz Academy Tag Team Championship .[ 27] OZ Academy Plum Hanasaku 2020 ~ OZ No Kuni Buntai Final on August 28, 2020, she unsuccessfully challenged Mayumi Ozaki for theOz Academy Openweight Championship .[ 28]
