Sanusha Santhosh is an Indian actress who works predominantly inMalayalam cinema. She started her career as a child artist to leading actress and supporting character roles. She also appears in someTamil,Telugu andKannada films too.
Sanusha was born inPallikunnu, Kannur[2] to Usha and Santhosh.She has studied at Sreepuram School, Pallikunnu Kannur.[2] After her graduation inBCom fromSN College, Kannur,[3] she did MA inSociology atSt. Teresa's College.[4] She also completedMSc inGlobal Mental Health & Society fromUniversity of Edinburgh, Scotland. Sanusha has a younger brotherSanoop Santhosh, who is a child artist, known for his acting inPhilips and the Monkey Pen.[5]
After performing in television serials, Sanusha started her film career in 2000 at the age of 5 with the movieDada Sahib.[6] She became a star in Malayalam films as baby Sanusha giving stellar performances inMeesa Madhavan,Kaazhcha,Mampazhakkalam etc.[citation needed] She won theKerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2004 for her performances inKaazhcha and Soumyam. She debuted as a heroine in Tamil filmNaalai Namadhe[7] followed by demure roles inRenigunta,Nandhi andEththan.[8] In Malayalam she debuted as heroine oppositeDileep inMr.Marumakan.[9] In the Malayalam movie,Kuttiyum Kolum Sanusha acted against themidget actorGuinness Pakru, the role gave her rave reviews.[10] In Tamil filmAlex Pandian she did anitem song withKarthi.[11]
Sanusha won a Special Jury Mention at the2013 Kerala State Film Awards forZachariayude Garbhinikal.[12]
