Santa María de Palautordera (Catalan pronunciation:[ˈsantəməˈɾi.əðəpəˌlawtuɾˈðeɾə]) is a village andmunicipality in thecomarca ofVallès Oriental in theprovince ofBarcelona andautonomous community ofCatalonia, Spain.
The village is situated in the valley of theRiver Tordera, at the foot of theMontseny Massif. The vegetation is predominantlypine andoak woods.
Thepopulation of Santa María de Palautordera as measured by the Town Hall was 9,103 in 2015. The Municipal Population Register[4] has been produced annually since 1998 and demonstrates the change in population:
