San Piero Patti (Sicilian:San Pieru Patti) is acomune (municipality) in theMetropolitan City of Messina in theItalian regionSicily, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) east ofPalermo and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest ofMessina.

San Piero Patti borders the following municipalities:Patti,Raccuja,Sant'Angelo di Brolo,Librizzi,Montalbano Elicona.

History

San Piero Patti was conquered and inhabited by the Arabs until the 11th century, when they were defeated byRoger I of Sicily.[3]
