TheSamsung Galaxy J7 (2017) (also known as theSamsung Galaxy J7 Pro) is anAndroid-basedsmartphone produced, released and marketed bySamsung Electronics. It was unveiled and released in June 2017 along with theSamsung Galaxy J3 (2017).[2] It is the successor to theSamsung Galaxy J7 (2016).


The J7 is powered by anExynos 7870SoC including a 1.6 GHz octa-coreARM Cortex-A53CPU, aMali-T830MP1GPU and 3 GB ofRAM. It ships with either 16, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256 GB withmicroSD card.[1] The phone also introduces the 2nd J series phone (after the J5 (2017) to have afingerprint sensor andSamsung Pay.
It is fitted with a 5.5-inch Full HDSuper AMOLED screen featuring always-on-functionality and a 3600 mAh Li-ion battery.[3]
The J7 originally shipped withAndroid7.0 "Nougat" with Samsung'sExperience user interface, and can be upgraded to9 "Pie" withOne UI. It supportsVoLTE withdual SIM enabled 4G. It also supportsSamsung Knox andSamsung Pay.[4]
