TheSamsung Galaxy A05 andSamsung Galaxy A05s areAndroidsmartphones created bySamsung Electronics. The smartphones were announced on 25 September 2023 and were released on 15 October[5] and 18 October 2023[6] respectively. It is part of theSamsung Galaxy A series.
On 6 March 2024, Samsung released theSamsung Galaxy M14 (not to be confused withSamsung Galaxy M14 5G),[7] and on 2 August 2024, Samsung announced theSamsung Galaxy F14.[8][9] Both the Galaxy M14 and Galaxy F14 are considered rebranded versions of the Samsung Galaxy A05s featuring different color options and memory configurations.[8][10]
On 10 September 2024, Samsung introduced theSamsung Galaxy M05 and on 17 September 2024, Samsung announced theSamsung Galaxy F05. Both the Galaxy M05 and Galaxy F05 are considered rebranded versions of the base Samsung Galaxy A05 model featuring different color options and memory configurations.[11][12]
There has been lot of criticism towards the reliability of the Galaxy A05/F05/M05, mainly caused by the issues with its touch screens.
The front is made of glass, while the back is made of glossy plastic with stripes on the Galaxy A05, plastic with leather-like texture on the Galaxy F05, simple glossy plastic on the Galaxy M05, and matte plastic on the Galaxy A05s, Galaxy F14, and Galaxy M14.
On the bottom side, there is a3.5 mm audio jack, amicrophone, aUSB-C port and aspeaker. On the top side, there is an additional microphone. On the left side, there is a single SIM ordual SIM tray depending on the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s regional models or only dual SIM tray on other models. On the right side, there is the volume rocker and the power button, which has built-infingerprint scanner on the Galaxy A05s, Galaxy F14 and Galaxy M14.

Galaxy A05, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05 are equipped with theMediaTekHelio G85SoC with theMali-G52 MC2GPU, while the Galaxy A05s, Galaxy F14, and Galaxy M14 feature theQualcommSnapdragon 680 4G SoC with theAdreno 610 GPU.
The Galaxy A05, Galaxy A05s, Galaxy F14, and Galaxy M14 were released withOne UI Core 5.1 based on Android 13, while the Galaxy F05 and Galaxy M05 were released withOne UI 6.0 based in Android 14.[13][14] Later, all smartphones were updated to One UI 7.0 based onAndroid 15.
According to Counterpoint Research, Samsung Galaxy A05 was the number 10 bestselling smartphone in the world in Q1 2024, and number 5 bestselling Android smartphone in the same quarter.[15]
