Samoan Braille is thebraille alphabet of theSamoan language.[1] It is a subset of thebasic braille alphabet,
supplemented by an additional letter⠰ to mark long vowels:
Unlikeprint Samoan, which has a special letterʻokina for theglottal stop, Samoan Braille uses the apostrophe⠈, which behaves as punctuation rather than as a consonant. (SeeHawaiian Braille, which has a similar setup.)
Samoan Braille has an unusual punctuation mark, areduplication sign⠙. This is used to indicate that a word is reduplicated, as in⠎⠑⠛⠊⠙segisegi "twilight".
