Sameh Naguib (Arabic:سامح نجيب,IPA:[ˈsæːmeħnæˈɡiːb]) is anEgyptiansociologist at theAmerican University in Cairo,[1] asocialist activist.[2] In 2006 he published a short book analysing the history and growth of the Muslim Brotherhood titledThe Muslim Brotherhood- A socialist viewpoint.[3]
In 2007, Naguib was a speaker at the fifthCairo Anti-war Conference, which he used as a platform to condemn formerPresidentHosni Mubarak and pointed to Egypt's striking workers as a way forward for the movement:
