Samara Governorate (Russian:Самарская губерния,romanizedSamarskaya guberniya) was an administrative-territorial unit (guberniya) of theRussian Empire and theRussian SFSR, located in theVolga Region. It existed from 1850 to 1928; its capital was inSamara.[1]
