Sam DakinOLY (born 1996) is a New Zealandtrack cyclist, who competes in sprinting events.
Born inAuckland, Dakin completed a Bachelor of Business Analysis with a major in finance inWaikato and also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Innovation and entrepreneurship in 2020 online throughHarvard University. His training base is the Avantidrome in Cambridge as part of the New Zealand High Performance Squad. He was selected for the New Zealand Olympic team for the2020 Summer Olympics inTokyo.[1] Dakin competed in theteam sprint event following the retirement ofEddie Dawkins, joining three-time World Champions andRio 2016 silver medalists,Ethan Mitchell andSam Webster.[2][3]
