Saket Nagar is a suburb ofBhopal,India, on the southern side of the city. It is part of Ward 54 ofBhopal Municipal Corporation.[1]
InSanskrit,Saket is the ancient name of the city ofAyodhya, an importantHindu religious place, said to be the place of residence for LordRama.[2] Saket is also the name of a famous epic Hindi poetic work ofMaithili Sharan Gupt, an account of the Ramayana through the eyes of Urmila.[3]
Saket Nagar is mostly inhabited by retired employees of public sector companyBHEL like its adjacent localities Shakti nagar and Alkapuri.[4]
Saket Nagar has two major schools nearby namely the Bhopal Public School[5] and Sagar Public School.[6]
