St Tyfaelog's Church, PontlottynTyfaelog was a 6th-centurysaint of Wales.[1][2] The saint is connected to a small area nearBrecon southPowys where there are two churches:Llandyfaelog Tre'r-graig[2] andLlandyfaelog Fach.
There is also a church inLlandyfaelog, betweenKidwelly andCarmarthen (Carmarthenshire).Tyfaelog is recorded as being the son ofGildas.[3]
Afeast day is celebrated in his honour on 1 March atLlandyfaelog Tre'r-graig and on 26 February atLlandyfaelog, Ystrad Tywi.
