Safita District (Arabic:منطقة صافيتا,romanized: manṭiqat Ṣāfītā) is adistrict of theTartus Governorate in northwesternSyria.Administrative centre is the city ofSafita. At the 2004 census, the district had a population of 129,632.[2]
