Safarlu (Persian:صفرلو)[a] is a village inKeyvan Rural District of theCentral District inKhoda Afarin County,East Azerbaijan province,Iran.

In the wake ofWhite Revolution (early 1960s) a clan ofMohammad Khanlu tribe, comprising 55 households, used Safarlu as their winter quarters.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 298 in 72 households, when it was in the formerKhoda Afarin District ofKaleybar County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 252 people in 66 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment ofKhoda Afarin County. The rural district was transferred to the newCentral District.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 246 people in 65 households.[2]
