Sabor River,Rio Sabor in Portuguese, is ariver that rises inSpain and entersPortugal in theNatural Park of Montesinho, in the northeast of the country. It is a tributary of the right bank of theDouro River, passing near the city ofBragança from where it receives thewaterbody of theRiver Fervença, going to empty close to theTorre de Moncorvo downstream of thePocinho Dam, in the village ofFoz do Sabor. The Sabor Riverbasin is a large basin (3170 km2) located in the northeast of Portugal and used mostly foragroforestry.[1]
