Saagar Enjeti (born April 21, 1992) is an Americanjournalist and political podcast host currently co-hosting the American political news and opinion seriesBreaking Points alongsideKrystal Ball. Previously he hostedThe Realignment with Marshall Kosloff.
Enjeti was born in Texas, on April 21, 1992, and grew up inCollege Station, Texas.[1][2][3] His parents areTelugu immigrants from India, Prasad Enjeti and Radhika Viruru, both professors atTexas A&M University.[4] He graduated fromGeorge Washington University in 2014 where he majored in economics and in 2018, he received a master's in security policy fromGeorgetown University.[5]
Enjeti served as a media fellow for theHudson Institute, where he co-hosted the podcastThe Realignment with Marshall Kosloff.[4][5][6] He also served as aTony Blankley fellow at theSteamboat Institute.[5][7]
Enjeti began his media career atThe Daily Caller, owned byTucker Carlson, as its White House Correspondent. According to Enjeti, he obtained the job by cold emailing someone at the outlet who tangentially knew a friend of his.[1][4][8]
He co-hostedRising withKrystal Ball and wrote forThe Hill from 2019 to 2021.[8][9][10] The pair co-wrote the bookThe Populist's Guide to 2020 which focused on left and right populism in America.[4][11][12]
In 2021, Enjeti and Ball leftRising to start their own show calledBreaking Points.[8][9] That show became the number one political podcast one week after launching and reached one million subscribers on YouTube in 2023.[13]
Enjeti married Jill McGrath in July 2023, with an initial wedding ceremony inIndia, and another wedding ceremony inRhode Island.[14] Their daughter was born in 2025.[15] Enjeti is anatheist.[16]
