SP-31 is astate highway in thestate ofSão Paulo inBrazil.
TheRodovia Índio Tibiriçá is ahighway that connects the municipality ofSão Bernardo do Campo to the municipality ofSuzano, both located in theMetropolitan Region of São Paulo.[2]
It is the main route linking theAlto Tietê Region to theABC Paulista Region. The road also serves as an alternative for residents of the Alto Tietê area traveling to theBaixada Santista or theSouth Zone of São Paulo.[3]
The road is named in honor of theTupiniquim indigenous leaderTibiriçá, who played a significant role in the events leading to the founding of the city of São Paulo in 1554.[4]
