History

SL Corporation's origins date back to 1954 and the establishment ofSamlip Motor Works as a manufacturer of bicycle parts. In 1968 the company was incorporated intoSamlip Industrial Co. Ltd. (삼립산업) and in 1969 it began manufacturinghead lamps for Hyundai Motors. The name was finally changed toSL Corporation in 2004 under the leadership of Lee Choong Kon, CEO. CurrentlySL Corporation manufactures various products for the automotive industry. SL Corporation received the GM Supplier of the Year award for sixteen straight years (1997–2012) as well as the Five Star quality certificate from Hyundai-Kia Motors.
