Ruth Hieronymi (8 November 1947 – 30 April 2025) was a German politician who served as aMember of the European Parliament forNorth Rhine-Westphalia from 1999 until 2009. She was a member of theconservativeChristian Democratic Union, part of theEuropean People's Party.
Hieronymi was chair of theWDR Broadcasting Council until 2016.[1] She died on 30 April 2025, at the age of 77.[2]
