Rumu (Rumuwa), orKairi (Kai-Iri), is aPapuan language ofPapua New Guinea. Other names for it areDumu (Tumu) andKibiri.

  • /r/ is pronounced [l] when word-initial and before /ɛ a ɔ/.
  • /w/ is [β] before /i e ɛ/.
