Ruehleia is agenus ofsauropodomorphdinosaur from the LateTriassic period ofGermany. Thetype species isR. bedheimensis, described byGalton in 2001,[1] and is named for theGermanpaleontologist Hugo Rühle von Lilienstern. Discovered in 1952, theholotype consists of one nearly complete skeleton, includingcervical (neck),dorsal (back), andcaudal (tail)vertebrae; a partialsacrum; ascapulocoracoid; pelvic bones; most limb bones; and a partially completemanus (hands).[2] The fossils were found in theTrossingen Formation of central Germany and date to theNorian stage, around 216 to 208million years ago.[1]
