'Rotterdam Ferry-Boat is an 1833oil painting by the BritishartistJ.M.W. Turner.[1][2] It was one of a number of Dutch-themedseascapes Turner produced during the early 1830s. The picture features aferry off the coast ofRotterdam. Awarship of theDutch Navy is shown in the background.
The painting was exhibited at theRoyal Academy'sSummer Exhibition of 1833 atSomerset House inLondon. The work has been in the collection of theNational Gallery of Art inWashington D.C. since 1970.[3]
