Rossiglione (Ligurian:Rosciggion[ɾuʃiˈdʒuŋ], locallyRsciogni[4][ˈɹʃuɲɲi]/[ɚˈʂᵊʊ̃ɲɲi]) is acomune (municipality) in theMetropolitan City of Genoa in theItalian regionLiguria, located about 41 kilometres (25 mi) northwest ofGenoa. It has a population of 2 558 people.[5]

Rossiglione borders the following municipalities:Belforte Monferrato,Bosio,Campo Ligure,Molare,Ovada,Tagliolo Monferrato,Tiglieto.

Asteroid

Asteroid9101 Rossiglione, discovered by astronomers at theFarra d'Isonzo Observatory in 1996, was named after the Italian village.[7] The officialnaming citation was published by theMinor Planet Center on 8 November 2019 (M.P.C. 118218).[8]
